Happy Holiday Season Scratch Fam! Thanksgiving is only a week away, with Christmas quickly behind it. Today I’m sharing a unique recipe I discovered years ago with a fun little “how-to video”, especially if you enjoy baking with kiddos 🙂 This week’s recipe is…
Easy Apple Pie with Brown Butter Crumble
Please note the title… EASY!! It really is easy and takes significantly less time than a regular apple pie, you don’t need to cook the apples ahead of time, and you don’t have the detailed crust word on the top of the pie like you would see with a traditional one. Not only that.. but the flavor is just slightly different, and the crumble adds a little bit to make it just slightly better than that traditional apple pie.
Every year my sister and I are tasked with the same thing for Thanksgiving and Christmas… PIE DUTY! We use my Oma’s homemade pie crust recipe and love trying new pie recipes to bring to our family gatherings. We have a HUGE family, so LOTS of pie is always needed! This is one of my favorites, especially with my Oma’s famous pie crust! Click here for the recipe

- Let pie cool to set, then slice and serve
Notes
**Please note this is NOT my original recipe- I’ve had it stashed in a recipe box for years and can’t track down the original author! Pie crust however is my original recipe…enjoy!
